2021 NZ Mountain Book of the Year
We are thrilled that Peta Carey’s book Tamatea Dusky won the Heritage Award and the 2021 NZ Mountain Book of the Year, as part of NZ Mountain, Film and Book Festival, an event which has become a much-loved annual institution in Wanaka, and an important focus on books about New Zealand’s outdoor world. The story of Tamatea/Dusky Sound is a very southern story but with considerable national significance, so this is recognition that is much appreciated. Peta Carey will be talking in Wanaka on Tuesday 29 June, as part of the festival.
