Robbie Burton was born, and has lived most of his life in Nelson. Over the last 35 years he has been at the helm of Potton & Burton as both publisher and managing director, during which time it grew into one of New Zealand’s largest independent publishers, entirely focused on non-fiction books. In 2022 his memoir Bushline was published to considerable acclaim.
