2020 Storylines Notable Books

Storylines is one of our most important organisations dedicated to promoting children’s literature in Aotearoa. One of their annual activities is the Notable Books List, in which an expert panel selects the highest quality books in five genres published during the previous year. Earlier this year we were delighted to have three books selected from our publishing 2019-20 list.

This recognition from our peers is greatly valued, and a huge nod to the skills of these three authors. Also check out the review on New Zealand’s Nature Heroes in The Spinoff’s Top Ten Children’s Books feature. The Sapling, a website devoted to conversations about children’s books, and another treasure in our world of children’s literature, published a wonderfully insightful glimpse into the working life of Heather Hunt. It’s definitely worth a look.
