Logan Murray

A keen surfer since the age of 12 in 1965, Logan Murray has been a passionate surf photojournalist since 1971. For over 50 years he has been documenting and creating New Zealand surf culture, and during this time has had stories and features published in every major surf publication on the planet, with cover shots on many of these magazines. He has also contributed to many landmark international surf books. His first book, The Surf Photography of Logan Murray, was published in 2004.
Along with managing his own property portfolio, he is a company director for an American-owned forestry company. Murray is a keen beach fisherman, as well as a cyclist, and lives at Wainui Beach outside of Gisborne. He was inducted into the New Zealand Surfing Hall Of Fame in 2001.
