Peta Carey has had a long association with Fiordland. She has made documentaries and written extensively on various projects in Dusky and the greater Fiordland over the last 20 years.  Tamatea/Dusky is her third book. Carey lives just outside Queenstown, New Zealand, with her daughter, their dog, and a great walk up a mountain just out the back door.
